I agree on the extra features that were produced separate from the Criterion release. That way its open to the possibility that it may be available elsewhere (even if that's not always the case).
If every single featurette were included, it would be a very difficult list to complete as well as time consuming and possibly expensive (if there's no other option but to buy the Criterion release).
Any feature, short fiction or documentary produced for any other reason than a criterion release and included in full as a dvd extra should be included on the list.
Well I'm only including things that have an imdb page and that are offered as a full bonus by Criterion. What I mean by that is that Criterion includes many excerpts of docs, features that are relevant to the main movie in their dvd's.
I'm on the fence about the criterion featurettes or even any docs made specifically for a home video release. Any thoughts?
Proof-reading the list yielded a couple of errors, so that turned out to be a good move. I've just sent the updated list to the guys, so we should see an updated (hopefully error-free, touch wood) version in the not too distant future - or at least before iCM 2.0. ;-)
Releases containing more than one title, such as the Painleve and Brakhage short film collections, have been ordered in the same way they are ordered on the discs, so people can "watch and check" if they want. That seemed better to me than alphabetical or chronological.
I took out the AK 100 set, the Eclipse titles and the extras, but I included information on where to put those titles in the list. That way it's up to Erik and Piet whether to include them or not.
Speaking of iCM 2.0, wouldn't a "Criterion Extras" list be a great personal list that people could subscribe to if they wanted? It seems v. 2.0 is more needed than ever.

I should be done soon.Kasparius
For instance there is stuff produced for Japanese or British DVD companies on some of their dvd's I don't think that should be included either.Kasparius
Nothing produced by Criterion or any other home release company either, I think.redcard29

I think that's going overboard. What's to limit any featurettes by Kino or any other company?Kasparius

kasparius,is the extra list going to be short films/docs/etc on the disc or will it include basically every featurette on the Criterion disc as well?

Eclipse and Criterion should be separate lists, and I'm in agreement with Knaldskalle about his view on main titles vs. extras.spaghettimonsters
Agree with Kasparius. Let's separate Criterion from Eclipse.Kasparius
Working on the Criterion-Extras list right now.HEMA
Thanks Knaldskalle for your effort! And of course Erik and Piet for their continuous effort.Kasparius
