Maximum Overdrive

One of the most requested features (see the uservoice entry) has always been: add runtime information to movies, as well as their director(s). We are happy to announce that, thanks to Marijn's heroic efforts, we just released a new version of iCheckMovies that includes aforementioned runtime and director information. As an added bonus, we have also added the movie's genre(s) (according to IMDb). The movie page for Raiders of the Lost Ark thus now looks like this:


You can filter on both genre and director, which allows you do things like selecting all thrillers made by David Fincher. Of course, our search engine also recognizes this new information. Furthermore, at most pages you can now sort movies by runtime, which can be convenient when choosing which movie to watch from your watchlist.

A short disclaimer: at the moment, not all movies have this new information added. We have started with the most popular movies and will work our way through all remaining movies. In time, this information will be present for all movies.
