Doubling the Canon
Favs/dislikes: 218:4. Begun in 2007, Doubling the Canon is an annual project which aims to expand the Film Canon as crafted by the They Shoot Pictures, Don't They website. Box Office Mojo's All Time Worldwide Box Office
Favs/dislikes: 492:103. The All-Time Worldwide Box office list includes the 1,000 most grossing movies at the box office during their theatrical runs. Only theatrical box office receipts (movie ticket sales) are included, video rentals, television rights and other revenues are thus ignored. The total may include theatrical re-release receipts. Top 50 Business Films
Favs/dislikes: 25:1. Based on many lists made by Business magazines and websites and consulting companies. The films aren't only about business but also films that businessmen, business students, traders and entrepreneurs should watch. Sporadically updated. Bonus: 15 additional films (after so many lists, we can have more interesting films) Methodology: Eligibility: Lists with 10 to 30 entries. Not eligible: too specific lists such as "available on Netflix", documentaries only, "best of the decade", etc. and lists made by users in imdb, mubi, icm, etc Distribution of points: For ranked lists: #1: 20 points #2: 18 points and so on until #10: 2 points #11 or lower: 1 point Not ranked lists: points are splitted equally. For instance: lists with 15 entries: 20+18+...+2+1+1+1+1+1=115 / 15 = 7.67 => 8 points for each film.
