You see those 24 pages of list discussion? About 20 of them are on the "Why Avatar icon?" topic, so please, for the love of the Almighty, don't start the buzz again. You might wanna contribute on more pressing things like "Why movie X is in the list and movie Y is not?" and "OMFG, what a bunchoad of a crappy dumbflicks!". The most elitist choice would the "I hope movie Z will be here in the next update cause it's sooo awesome and cool!" post.
I would have loved to see iCheckMovies in the year 1990 - by the end of the year, a list for the best movies of the decade would have been included with "Goodfellas" on top followed by "Home Alone", "Pretty Woman", "Total Recall", "Die Hard 2", "Edward Scissorhands", "Back To The Future 3", "Rocky V", "Predators 2", "Tremors" and the despised "Godfather" sequel - and everyone would bitch about it.
The decade is ELEVEN months old, guys. Give this some time, especially if you don't even have seen the titles on it, I mean, seriously! Some of the hidden gems of 2010 have yet to develop and be discovered - and there are promising releases upcoming with "Black Swan", "Biutiful", "True Grit", "127 Hours", "Somewhere" (which I've seen yesterday) and others.
Don't forget that the smaller, better;) independent movies need some time to collect enough votes to appear here.
Also, it's kinda funny to see "Piranha" on any list. I enjoy the look at it while I can.
It's still way too soon to make an avatar to signify the decade spanning 2010-2019. Who knows, maybe The Hobbit will be the dominant movie(s) in the coming decade?
