I think some users might be checking off the lost films because they have seen everything else in the list and so have finished it as much as they can or reasoned that if they can't ever watch it just check it off now.
Lost films shouldn't be in a list to be checked, only mentioned in the description. I don't check off films I haven't seen so I won't be able to complete several lists.
And again, another person who has somehow manged to see several films that no longer exist and go platinum on this (and several other lists) in a matter of days..
If you HAVE to cheat.. try using some common sense and not tick films that have been lost for neigh on 100 years.. it just makes it rather obvious...
@shakha A film being lost now doesn't mean it was lost in the 1970s, and some of them may well have seen the films on original release. Rotha himself, for instance.
Everyone here is complaining about people checking off lost films, totally ignoring the fact that a bunch of critics in the 1970s picked four films that they have never seen as some of the best films of their kind ever. Don't be mad at the people here: be mad at them!
