I see your point for including Rower! It's not like there's a double entry of a film, either solo or on a box set or something and would have required removal.
Furthermore, to back my case - Rower has 64 votes on IMDb (which to my understanding is indeed lost since "Due to a mix-up in the laboratory, only part of the film was processed and returned to Polanski") whereas Lanton Mills by Malick (which is not a lost film, but "only the AFI scholars are allowed to view the film. The film cannot be copied or checked out") has 66 votes...
Well, that's the problem, you cannot please everyone, when something is missing people start complaining, when full filmography is added, it's not good again for some, I'm in a tough spot here. I've decided to include everything as per IMDb. I've learned there are less complaints when more is added rather than less :) Regarding "lost" films they can also sometimes be found ;)
Yeah, but judging the movies, comparing them and rating is just so... arbitrary. And I doubt there are any people here on this site who use these (personal) lists to decide which PolaĆski's movie to watch next.
Edit: good point with the 'list by release date' remark though.
My reasoning is that people usually wish to explore the best work from a director and IMDb ratings (even though flawed) provide a good starting point. Furthermore it's always easy to change the ranking by selecting the sorting method. Changing to chronological would provide a duplicate option for ranking "by year of release".

Fine, I've sorted them all chronologically now as per IMDb and included the complete filmography.mayshake

Couldn't you make it chronological by default? What reason is there to put it by IMDb ranking, which changes from time to time?bal3x
This is IMDb highest to lowest ranking, but you can easily rank by year on the top right corner.MM
What kind of ranking are these in?
