It was OKAY... There's far greater entertainment then some dialogue between a bunch of indecisive old guys. Maybe if you've never seen a jury in real life but it really is as boring as most of them show it to be.

Amazing movie. Put together Sidney Lumet and Reginal Rose and the magic happens; if you want the recipe for a masterpiece just add Henry Fonda to the mix. Too bad they're all dead. Roman Polanski should have taken some time off to watch this movie before shooting Carnage. He had 4 spectacular actors, but did poorly.

It's Dutch, may have to do with the fact that IMBb recognizes Erik/Piet's account as being Dutch?

It dumbfounds me that not one person who contributed to the Sight and Sound poll voted for this film. I would, if I was important enough to participate.

A shocking exposé of juror misconduct, as smooth-talking shyster Juror #8 produces his own physical evidence, research and speculation and gathers testimony from fellow jurors, none of which has been examined in the courtroom.

There are clear grounds for the judge to order a new trial and for Juror #8 to get a lengthy custodial sentence for contempt of court.

I know it's the sort of cliché response to have, but the scene where number 10 makes that speech in that long take is one of my favourite in film ever.
