Good movie. Russell Crowe's perfomance in this movie is amazing! Jennifer Connelly is also very good in this picture.

I must admit the reason I refused to watch this for a long time was Russell Crowe. I had seen one or two of his movies and I was not very impressed by him - and whenever there was news about him on TV it was always him beating someone up.

But a family member had seen this movie and finally convinced me to watch it - which I did not regret. In fact, Russell Crowe became the very reason for me to like this movie. Like him or not, but the man is an incredibly talented actor. He impersonated his role with such credibility that it was a pleasure to watch.

I also loved the way the story was told and I don't think it was predictable at all. I liked Paul Bettany, Jennifer Connelly and Ed Harris in the supporting roles, too.

Good movie, but not great. Of course the story of Dr Nash and his wife are very moving, and Crowe's acting is excellent. But beyond that I don't think that it is THAT good.

I see this movie on many "top movies ever" lists and I don't think it deserves to be on the same level of The Godfather, Pulp Fiction or 12 Angry Men.

But good movie. You should watch it.

I don't know how the hell I went so long without watching this after all the awards it's won but man am I glad to have decided to give it a try. Such a beautiful film. It has also left me with a new found appreciation for Russell Crowe. Definitely favoriting this one.

I think this film dealt with the subject matter delicately and respectably. Sure, I understand people's criticisms with it, but it told a brilliant story of love and the difficulties we put ourselves through for it.
Wonderful performances and did a good a job as possible of portraying the every day struggle of mental illness.

did not expect this movie to be that good! Russell Crowe is not one of my favourite actors but he’s absolutely astonishing in this role.

The story itself is very sad … how a genius mind like John Nash’s gets held back by the delusions of schizofrenia. I like this movie because it shows how the illness gradually and unexpectingly takes over. And how it can appear to others that everything is okay, until you take a closer look … and then the whole world seems backwards.

The fact that this is based on a true story … is remarkable. To be able to live alongside delusions and schizofrenia … is quite rare.

It’s a horrible story, not going to lie, but it’s an amazing tale.

You have to bite through though … the first half hour is a bit boring but when you “get” what is going on, the movie takes on a new course and you suddenly see everything in a different light.
