Not really my cup of tea, and I love romance movies. I guess it would have been cliche, but I would've preferred it if
he had pursued Fiona instead. I think it would have made "the perfect date movie", instead of the rather confusing plot with him chasing the other mum (Rachel). It was strange watching him pursue her, while hanging out with the other mum's son. Eventually it ends with him, Rachel and (sort of) Fiona, sharing the two boys. It was just rather strange... I know that the whole point of the film was about the boy (hence the title) and not the guy, and I also know that it was adapted from a novel, so maybe if I had read that beforehand then I would've appreciated the film more. Probably.
