   A very ambitious and somewhat uneven first film in which the variety of characters, nonlinear timelines, and shifting points of view make it hard to follow emtionally, if not narratively. If you are familiar with Bergman films, you'll enjoy recognizing many of his actors and actresses among the cast. Some great scenes, great moments, and powerful cinematic ideas, arranged in a somewhat haphazard way. A 1964 film by a female director that has something to say, sometimes at the expense of the storytelling. Definitely worth watching. 8 months 1 week ago
