The entire film is a sequence of amazing shots, great directing and (after a little too long) fine action. And then it's all like: "Whoops, it looks like our time is up. Goodbye." I can't recall the last time I saw an ending this bad.
By the way, I saw the (full) European version, not the torn-up U.S. version (the FAQ on IMDb links to a comparison). But still, it leaves a lot of storylines open.
People just get killed off and Aurora's mother apparently stopped caring after half a year.
This is basically about Dominic Toretto in an alternate universe! It's set in 2017 and a submarine pops up from under the ice. Fast and Furious 8 comes out in 2017 and a submarine pops up from under the ice. Coincidence? I think not. It's about family too!
Beginning was well build, smooth and interesting, nice shots and so on.
Ending in other hand, what, time jumping and pieces missing.
Exactly like Eddyspeeder said: "Whoops, it looks like our time is up. Goodbye."
I enjoyed this quite a lot, especially the world building. We effectively get two worlds, both extremely immersive and beautifully created: the first is akin to your typical post-apocalyptic movie, while the second is more like a corporate dystopia. They are both captured impeccably with admirable attention to detail and stunningly beautiful cinematography, and any fan of either genre will eat this stuff up. This only makes it even more unfortunate that the plot runs out of steam towards the end and that the execution of the story never really matches the ideas behind it, but the uncut version of Babylon AD is still miles better than what the critics and audience scores will have you believe.

Looks like a part of this movie is missing and they go straight to the ending. Weird.dream_tiger
