woodke - Oh how I wish straight-to-DVD releases featured such solid filmmaking and such heart and compassion and heart. Unfortunately, such is not the case, and this is one of the best films of the 90s. And I say that as someone who has seen some 30 Iranian films, and dozens of films from other parts of the Middle East.

Reminiscent of Where is the Friend's House? in the best way. The children are both excellent and adorable.

Yeah - I suspected, after reading his profile, that Kunggi was an idiot. Then I found some more of his posts, and I no longer had any doubt.

Kunggi - I know a post as stupid as yours is hardly worth responding to, but, really, some of the best films of recent years have come from the Middle East. See: the films of Kiarostami, Ghobadi, Barmak, Panahi, Beizai, Makhmalbaf.

Also, it's pretty clear that you didn't understand the movie, so perhaps you should try again?

Was it just me? Or did the backdrop of Iran look a whole lot like Southern California?

Disappointed… badly directed, written and edited. Great kids tough…
