It's baffling how these sort of films get internationally acclaimed. Firstly, why would you hire actors only to be dubbed by other actors ? Why didn't they just hire Dragan Nikolić instead of that main guy?
I guess this mediocre director Petrović badly needed to be recognized in the world. He did a similar mistake when he hired Serbian actors like Bata to play gypsies in ''Skupljači perja'' (how dumb). International cast makes sense in some spy film for example, certainly not here in this dull and uninspired little film.
Also, i am a fan of ''starogradska'' and folk music in general, but this film heavily depends on it - very music-filled and so repetitive that i was extremely annoyed by it. 5 years 5 months ago
