It's not as good as The Other Guys, but Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg have a good chemistry together. I do not see a successor be good, but they are already working on a sequel. Mark Wahlberg has good timing and Will Ferrel's fun as always. It has a few scenes that are too silly and scenes as they should have given a second chance, especially the last scene at their daughter's dance.
The proof that the interaction between two actors does not always work as well as the first time.
"The Other Guys" was surprisingly funny, especially because of the contrast between Wahlbergs and Ferrells characters. But in this movie it seems very contrived.
Only guy who made me laugh sometimes was Thomas Haden Church and his "wise saying".
I would not want this to happen to me. Imagine your wife's ex shows up and undermines everything you have built (emotionally) and worked for. Damn it, this film depressed me. I hope I don't come across a situation like this. Maybe I'd refer exactly to the self-help tips relating to being a step dad Ferrel's character indulged in! Also, the stigma that comes along with penis size is exasperated in this movie. DAMN IT
