   Great movie, and a very good picture of a specific moment in time in Brazilian history. The military dictatorship was weakening and the workers' movement was gaining momentum.
   
   Watching this movie today evockes bittersweet nostalgia, since the political project championed by the workers in this movie has recently been outed from power by ultra-capitalists (after allying themselves with these same capitalists and getting involved in the same corruption scandals that almost all Brazilian political parties are guilty of).
   
   And to make matters worse, the far right is agitating for the return of the military dictatorship depicted in this movie. 6 years 8 months ago
