   It's not on the IMDB Musical list because it only has a 6.3 rating; a 7.6 rating is required to hit #50. Such a jump is never going to happen for such an old movie. 6 years 8 months ago

   I hate musicals and I hate Madonna, but I loved this movie. Srsly, the thing works.
   
   Yesterday I watched The House of the Spirits that it's supposed to be set in Chile, but looks more like set in a fantasy of what Mexico would look like according to an American old lady. That movie is well intentioned about the coup d'état here, but I just couldn't take it seriously. Evita on the other hand gets as Argentinian as it is, and that's cool, not lazy, and appreciated.
   
   What can I say? Cool songs, sets, cinematography and directing (if you can get good acting from Madonna, you must be one hell of a director, just saying). Imo this and The Producers are the best musicals I've seen so far. 7 years 10 months ago
