If you expected anything other than fast cars, big crashes and lots of male posturing, you went to see the wrong film. For what it is, "Furious 6" (I suppose the next one will be "And 7") works really well. You've got the repeat cast that everyone seems to enjoy, a tolerable script with some nice bits of humor, and big, big action scenes! It's not as good as the unbelievably entertaining "Fast 5," but Vin and The Rock have put on another good car porno. It's loud, it's stupid, it's totally over-the-top; it's a great Summer action movie. They know what they're aiming at and they're not pretending it's high art.
I really liked the bit where they were driving the cars really fast and then the other guy was shooting and then the car flipped over in the air and then it exploded and then omg.
Vin Diesel deserves an academy award. Not sure whether Walker or the Rock should get best supporting actor.
Action sequences in modern films have to be over-the-top to be successful, because by now we have seen everything before. This film delivers enough thrills, laughs, and cheers to make you forget how silly it all is.
Pretty awesome film, if you are a fan of the previous movies this film doesn't disappoint. If you were going into the movie excepting anything more than cars, girls, action and explosions, you'll be disappointed.
Had me grinning all the way through like a little kid.Not quite as good as Fast Five but still great. 7/10
The insane action continues with Fast & Furious 6, and this time, Lin goes for broke. Everyone talks about the infinite runway at the climax of this movie, and not without reason. It's completely ridiculous, but we've presumably been primed by the resolution of the tank chase from earlier. If you're looking for logic and grit, you're not going to the right movies. The story has The Rock hire the crew to fight evil versions of themselves and recover Michelle Rodriguez' previously thought-dead character. At the same time, it needs to set up Tokyo Drift which fits after it in the chronology, and offer a cliffhanger for the film after that. As someone who didn't watch half the movies, I thought this was well done. 6 doesn't EXPECT you to have seen the rest, so thanks. Is it as good as 5? No. It's still a rollicking, pulse-pounding action flick with a minimal plot that knows better than to step off the pedal, but the climax fudges more than it should, with murky choreography and shortcuts taken to get the characters to the next films.
This movie hinges on good action and a likable cast. The script is really crappy, the soundtrack sucks, it really doesn't have anything going for it outside a likable cast and action. The cast have a good chemistry, and is still ok to watch. Some of the action is good, some doesn't make sense, but it's sometimes okay. Have to say that some of the car chases just fell flat to me. With a really bad soundtrack in the background, not very good camerawork and the noise of the engines turned to low, it was kind of disappointing. They have to learn from the movie "Drive", which has the best car chase. It would have been so much better if they just turned off the soundtrack, and amped up the sound of the engines a bit.
Also, some stuff that really bothered me about the plot, which is kind of spoilery:
HOW FUCKING LONG IS THAT RUNWAY?
Why wouldn't the plane just take off? A normal plane will as soon at it hits a right speed fly directly up to the flying height. this plane stayed at about 5 meters height over the ground for fucking ever.
Why would they just leave Paul Walkers wife alone when the bad guy said he would find their weak spot and use it? When he was in Spain? Nobody though: "maybe we should move the wife and child to someplace safe?"
Why weren't Letty interested in knowing who Vin Diesel was? She saw a picture of him and her, and still all she wanted to do was to kill him? She didn't think: "Ooo, who is this guy? Maybe I Knew him before I lost my memory? Maybe I should find out who he is? He might be somebody important to me!" No, instead she thought: "Kill." WTF?
How the hell did they know that Shaw was on his way to the Spanish NATO base, based on the paint on their cars? That might just mean that Shaw painted his car when he was there before, not that he is going there now. WTF?

The film's title card said "Furious 6." Did the filmmakers mistitle their own film?Showing items 1 – 15 of 31
