Surprisingly decent, despite being very predictable and true to the generic genre formula. A bit messy pacing. Acting varies from quite good to quite bad, though it's mostly good enough.
The viking theme is well utilized and the atmosphere is great, not to mention the gorgeous nature Norway offers. Some of the long environmental shots are top notch.
Some fun can be had in the post movie discussion about which other movie this one resembles the most.

The movie is technically well made.
I didn't know anything about it when I watched it. For some reason, I expected a Viking-themed family fantasy movie. What I got was a monster movie. I'm not a big fan of those. I had hoped for a bit more of a story instead of just running away from a monster for an hour or so. And there are still a few questions unanswered by the end of the movie. For a monster movie, it is quite good, I guess. 1 year 8 months ago
