Such a sweet movie about dragons, vikings and tolerance... the dragons look sooooo sweet and the film is really entertaining. Had a great time watching it.Dewsions

Very predictable, but also very fun!peggypotts
So much fun. Lots of clever dialogue, a very sarcastic lead character, gorgeous animation, some nice sentimental moments without going over the top. Of course, I have a thing for both animated films and dragons, so I might be biased.massive92
While I watched the movie I felt strange sense, sense of happiness252
A more than decent movie with a standard plot, superior characters and awesome animation.franzekafky
well, today's kids are largely lucky. that's for sure. good film for the younglings; rather cliche-driven, poor in script and cheesy dialogues for the bit older (>20 of age).ReVision
That was pretty fun and cool!Avaderra
I wasn't really expecting much when I first saw it...but boy was I pleasantly surprised!StigAnder

HTTYD is a real winner for me. At least, once I got past the fact the Vikings have horns on their helmets (a particular pet peeve of mine). I don't know if anyone remembers Vicki the Viking, a cartoon show in which the chief's diminutive son would help the village and win the day with cleverness alone? I loved that show, and HTTYD reminded me of that from word go. Only with dragons. And if dragons were cats. You know me as a cat lover, so yes, the inherent cuteness of the lead dragon Toothless worked on me. I can't deny it. But HTTYD is also a well-rounded action comedy, with some surprising moments of intensity, and real consequences for the characters. An exciting, funny and touching story about the importance of lateral thinking and shrugging off preconceptions.Samuel Silva
