The concept, itself, isn't too novel - it reminds me of the Matrix. But I think its the quality of the cast that brings this story alive. I am, again, impressed by Leonardo Dicaprio.

i don't get it: what's the deal with this movie? random action stuff, nothing special imo. well, nice visual effects, nice cast, but everything else felt so completely random..

Convoluted, cliched, good visual effects. It seems to be a current trend that when good director goes big budget/mainstream their films go down hill.

Surely i cant be the first to comment? Well okay then.

The movie is brilliant and keeps you guessing all the way through. It is one of those movies you will need to watch more than once to fully appreciate all the aspects of it.

but surely watching the same movie more than once is just to unstable!

Technically it's very impressive and I love the basic premise (entering dreams and dreams within dreams), but while the premise is super interesting, I find it insultingly unimaginative in its execution. People roaming around in very real-seeming environments shooting guns at each other - not much out of the ordinary if you live in a Bond movie. This concept of dream worlds could have been utilized so much better.

Didn't these people ever see Altered States? That one's so much more interesting in its exploration of the subconscious.

I liked the ambiguous ending, but Inception is still a movie that ultimately falls far short of realizing its full potential and that's a pity because it has tons of potential.
