Far from great, but really fun. The actors are having a lot of fun, and their joyful energy really catches on. Unique idea, lots of camp and charm, "Sarah Palin" as president and entertaining as hell. Recommended to everyone who thinks the above summary sounds tempting, and a warning to those that don't. This is clearly not for everyone.
This one was a dissappoitment for me. Looked forward to seeing it very much, but it failed to deliver. It wasn't all bad, the plot idea is great, and the acting was pretty good, but it just didn't quite cut it.
It wasn't really bad. It started off pretty good. Maybe a little too many cheap special effects.
Means of transportation to the earth could have worked out better (with white helmets with big black eyes or so).
The idea was good, not all acting was great. I liked how the plot developed. And there is room for a sequel.
I liked it for the Germans to be actually able to speak in their native language.
Lets get past the low budget and crazy plot. This is just a really dumb movie. Every character is dumb, i didnt care for any of them. It was a half-assed attempt at poking fun at Americans as if we all bowed down to Sarah Palin and McDonalds. It would be ok if the effects were crumby or the scientific specifications on moon nazis were fuzzy. Its everything else that made this movie such a chore to watch
Sheer fun! I sincerely hope this makes it to a top list. Sure, it's flawed, but the film references and political (particularly American) satire - as obvious, unsubtle and unprovocative as the latter might be - had me in stitches.
If only they'd had a bigger budget when making this film it would have been absolutely excellent. It still is rather amazing and I agree about the details, it's what makes it worth watching.
