To me, this movie seems quite special concerning the way it was put together, the way the story was told... some scenes were a bit unsual, very interesting!

Great acting of course, especially by Philip Seymour Hoffman who also directed this one. Loved his character.

There were several points at which the story or its direction were so weak I was inclined to abandon ship, but then there would be some magnificent image or use of a song to keep me on board. This was a failed effort full of gems that almost make it worthwhile. I think an extra 30 minutes worth of plot points or character/story development were needed to fill out the disjointed parts.
