kick ass sucked as a superhero, he lacked a real motive to do it, hit girl made the film really unrealistic and ruined it quite a bit, the coolest role, that of Big daddy, played by nicholas cage, who surprisingly wasnt shit, coiuld have been played by any other male actor and may even have been better if so, i love the genre of powerless superheroes but kick ass, although kick staring the genre seems poorly executed and the end leaves little satisfaction

A lot of people were very positive about the movie. But I didn't want to watch it because of Cage, the last few movies I had seen him in were very disappointing. I was convinced by a friend to do watch it. But it was just like I expected, very boring.

It's not bad. 7/10

But it should only be on the blockbuster list, or on no lists at all. Not a movie that will be remembered by any film buffs in a couple of years (I guess most have already forgotten it by now).

High-concept bullshit. It might have a couple of good one-liners and it's mildly entertaining (at best) but I can effortlessly think of 250 better movies.

Also if it wasn't for Elfman's score it wouldn't be half as good.

I'm totally agree with "FightaPilot"!
Its like a cartoon for kids but with this bloody scenes its not recommended for kids so its for adults whom their buddy just grow not their brain! :/

I'm with JuSasse on this one... the only good thing about this movie is Aaron... well, and Chloe too. Cage was as painful to watch as ever... I just don't get why this has such good ranking.
