The good includes the sweet visuals (excluding human character animations), chocobo references and Sean Bean. The bad includes everything else. The dialogue is especially horrendous. Classic Square Enix!
Simply put, it's a complete pile of nonsensical garbage.

Not recommended, but as previously stated, FFXV fans might get something worthwhile out of it. Can't imagine what...

Nice little companion piece to the game, I would say it's worth playing just to actually see a lot of the things that are only eluded to in the game.

If I had seen it on BD or 4K BD, which obviously you should since it's a clean CGI movie, it might have been rated higher. I find it somewhat messy in the plot here and there.
