agree with all this.
nothing like the book.
Clay is like some sort if impeccable, clean-living hero, not some angst ridden, bisexual, coke fiend.
None of the existencialist paranoia. In fact almost no paranoia. I had been looking forward to this for weeks and am pretty disappointed.

It's a shame this film was nothing like the book. It could have been fantastic.

Watch it if:
* You worship celebrities,
* You had a catholic upbringing,
* You loved Skins,
* You are a millenial, or
* You think the richest kids from the country that plans your country's policy are the worthiest people to sympathize with.

Tries to be a metaphor for the narcissism of the Reagan era, but is flat and tedious. Three self-indulgent, entitled little brats predictably get what they deserve.

Robert Downey Jr rocks on this movie. What a talent ! Love James Spader acting too.
