I also appreciate Jim Carrey's serious films, but this is one of his best comedies in my opinion. I just laugh my ass off whenever he makes a face like he does or screams at people like a madman... some very nice jokes and a great lead actor. Liked it!
Generic and simplistic, but not without some merit. A borderline okay family movie, or at least a borderline okay movie about a family. Cary Elwes might be the best part of the film.
Regular movie, although one of Jim Carrey's best "comedies" (excluding of comparison for obvious reasons the masterpiece Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind)
