The dialog is bad. The acting great. The direction is Frank Borzog's usual superb touch. The cinematography offers some unique angles and close-ups. I can't help thinking if the storyline were better that this would have been a real hit.

One note: Kay Francis (Amy) had a problem in real life pronouncing the letter R. In here, that difficult is mentioned when George Brent (as part of the story) tells Amy she mispronounced "April" and tells her to recite a tonger-twister that features "R". Ironic...
