@MathiasI however saw through the film by the end of the first act, or rather I was very much hoping they would not hinge the entire story around a cheap editing trick...which they did. I refer of course to the fact Willis' character fires a gun at a character off screen and expects the audience to assume he killed said character.
It's been a while since I saw it now but I'm pretty sure Bruce Willis' narration even includes "This is just the inciting incident." To me this was like a middle finger from the writer who obviously assumed this was the first film I had ever seen. In hind sight it's more of an insult to his writing skills rather than my intelligence.

I actually had to pay attention to the movie to keep up with the story even though I thought right from the beginning that the son wasn't killed. Amazing movie. So glad I finally watched it.yukaa67

Half cool, half garbage.I enjoyed Josh Hartnett's and Lucy Liu's performances.
But the rest was just MCP-ish full-of-clichés lazy filmmaking for easy-going audience.

Loved this film. It was so "cool". I love when films round up like this one did. Reminded me a lot about The Prestige, which I also liked heaps.This isn't a film I'd fall in love with, like Lost In Translation etc., but it still goes on my favorite list.
