Mabel Normand had her own series of shorts in the 1910s and even directed a few; not Mabel's Married Life though she co-wrote it with Chaplin, but she's definitely the more interesting character in the piece. Chaplin gets up to drunken fighting shenanigans - pretty stale even in 1914 - but both he and Mabel do amusing things with a boxing dummy in the final act. 3 years 9 months ago
