In many ways it's the Mad Max that we've been waiting to gaze upon for a very long time. It's top notch, full octane action packed from beginning to the end. Everything from the storytelling to the costumes and props is done to perfection. Haven't enjoyed an action movie like this in years.

This is probably the best example of a movie that I've ever seen that nails it on "show, don't tell" storytelling. There are very few things that are flat out explained about Max's world in this film, yet nearly all of it is simply explained by using simple logic and working it out from what is shown or hinted at.

Hardy has very few lines and very effectively morphs into what Max has become after years of scouring the endless wastelands of sands. He's been sand-blasted and scarred till nearly all his humanity has been stripped away. He's become the heat lightning in the sky, the grit that clogs the engine intakes, and he's the pebble in your boot that won't let up. He's Mad Max.

Hell fucking yeah! The stunts, the explosions, the insane tornado, that guitar - it's more than I even dreamt of.

Pretty good but not amazing. I enjoyed the ride. Might have suffered a little from everyone praising this film for the last few months making it seem bigger than it was. The practical effects are great and the plot simple. I liked the lack of exposition, it meant you picked up bits of this world through subtle hints. I liked the make-up job on everyone. "Blood Bag".

5 stars out of 5. Epic. Dazzling. Exhilarating. Frightening and tense. A powerhouse of visual design, editing and choreography. It stumbles slightly going into the final act, but recovers grandly for a perfect ending. Brilliant!

Easily one of the defining films of the decade. Still the best movie of 2015 I have seen so far.

Saw it a second time in 3D - waste of time and money. What looked great the first time looks fake.

I feel like this movie could've been ruined if the music wasn't great, but it was. It was better. It was absolutely amazing. Now, the visuals were also interesting, fucked up and wonderful. Actors were brilliant and the dialogue was natural. The director clearly knew what he was doing, as the movie remained interesting the entire time, and all the car scenes weren't confusing. Hectic, sure, but not confusing. But the music was perfect with every visual in every scene. It felt right all the time, and made everything just a little bit better. This would've been an experience worthy of time and money even without the story (which I also liked).

Also, I may have an undying love for all things called Max.
