A captivating documentary about a regular boy growing up with an exceptional talent. The unique personal footage made me feel part of his family; a loving one at that. The chess matches portrayed were more intense than sensationalized movies about such needlessly esoteric activities. Lastly, Magnus' most profound effect on me was that it made me come to terms with the beauty of natural giftedness; the contrast between Anand and Magnus was night and day.
