I think Roger Ebert summed it up best when he said, "'Malice' is one of the busiest movies I've ever seen, a film jampacked with characters and incidents and blind alleys and red herrings. Offhand, this is the only movie I can recall in which an entire subplot about a serial killer is thrown in simply for atmosphere."
The serial killer subplot was a weird choice, but the movie did keep me guessing. A bit all over the place, though, with lots of mysteries. Not a great movie overall, but I don't regret watching it. It certainly stands out, but not necessarily in a good way.
