It's boring, mostly because it is soooooo predictable! The whole movie is a one big cliche. Yes, the pet lovers can't see this, they watch their own life here like in the mirror or from the home made video. Owen Wilson is awasome? His acting is amazing? I wouldn't go that far, though he has to be awasome and act amazing, he earn very good money for this. But still, he was better nearly in his every other movie I've seen so far. I don't critisize, I am just saying, what I have in mind after I watched this movie.
Reading the book was what made this movie for me. I don't think I would have the same level of emotional attachment if I haven't read it. I fucking cried at THAT PART of the book and I cried here again.
I've seen it 4 or 5 times and I admire how well it is written, how the direction is just perfect, with enough feeling in every take and good solid characters. But above all that, is a truly heartfelt film and brings tears to my eyes every time. Dogs, even the worst, are truly special beings.
