Do people think that a soundtrack of recognisable songs = a good soundtrack? You know that they use the most popular rock songs to compensate for the poor quality of the actual film, right? Dreamworks need to stop the "anti-hero dancing to the most popular songs ever"-thing. Switch it with genuine character development.
The story is cliche and predictable but it’s worthwhile.
I loved this movie so much. It became one of my favorite animation films ever. It’s better than Despicable Me (2010), in my opinion. Props to the soundtrack too!
"Megamind" is a great send-up of the Superman/Supervillan story (with Megamind not unlike Superman's foe, Braniac), and boasts some fantastic laughs, crisp editing, eye-popping animation and some real creativity in both plot and content. That being said, its ironic send up does get inadvertently caught in a few clichés en route to telling its story and it makes a few stumbles before it settles into its final plot. particularly stand out in an otherwise fairly original creation. Tina Fey and Will Ferrel are particularly excellent in their roles with Fey initially providing a strong-female character before descending into predictable damsel-in-distress clichés. 3 stars out of 4.
It was great. I enjoyed it very much, even though I've seen these stories since the beginning of time. It's got many superhero moments from other movies, and I thought Will Ferrells impersonation of Marlon Brando was really funny!
Great movie! There are times when I want to lay down on the floor and crack open... the songs, the puns, the attitude, just... everything! This is definatly a movie worth getting a peak at!
I would give it a 8/10!

I really loved that you were expecting one thing, but as if the makers knew you were going to think that the film goes in a complete other direction.Lovely music also

Funny to see some people describe it as slow -- I thought it moved at a fair lick, quicker than I expected even.I enjoyed it. Shame it seems to have disappeared in Despicable Me's shadow.
