It's weird how bitter, kvetchy and even self-loathing the Finnish narration is. The modest attendance, the lack of medal chances, the uncooperative weather, the influx of foreign entertainers...he can't get over any of it. Also weird is that athletic competition doesn't enter until the film is almost a third over. Naturally, the action begins with field hockey and sailing. Then the narrator casually says a black Jamaican runner is one of the strangest men at the games...no explanation given.
