I had originally intended to listen to the audiobook for this before watching the movie, but I have been waiting over a month from my library, so I just decided I would do the movie first.I know books are 99.9% better than the movies, but after seeing this and getting the main gist, I find I have no inclination to read the book.
I am an avid read and a movie buff so thanks Tim for saving me hours reading. I can continue on with my Goodreads list of over 2000 books waiting for me to read.
For the movie's purposes, I found the characters rather flat, and the storyline lacking and rather boring.

Tim Burton does it again! Nice fantasy-adventure-family film along the lines of Big Fish... Good Entertainer with perfect casting that includes Eva Green, Asa Butterfield and Ella Purnell..7.3/10.

i found it really boring until twenty minutes before the end, it didn't have a good soundtrack, and there were scenes were a good song would have been perfect, the cast wasn't diverse at all eitherBiki
