   Easily the best action film of 2011, indeed perhaps one of the best in years. Death-defying stunts, the planet in peril, cool gadgets, clever writing and amazing locales are shining gems in this instalment of the M:I franchise. The second act steals the entire show, much to the detriment of the third act which, as a result, feels cursory and poorly executed - safe for the final showdown with the villain which returns the film to sturdy footing.
