Way too boring in the first half, there's no real scifi fun until 45 minutes into the 79 minute runtime. There's a good bit of whimsy once we're on the spaceship, akin to adventures in movies like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and it's obvious this is for little soviet kids in the 70s. Were those kids really into convoluted social politics and chalkboard science prep work? I'm not.Hopefully the sequel is a bit more fun since they're already cruising around the universe. (4/10)
