I thought this film was going to be about disability and strongly anti-war, but it is completely unlike anything I've ever seen. If I were to describe this film in one word, it would be healing. The documentary follows several US soldiers, some Navy SEALS, a helicopter pilot, a bomb technician. They all have some aspect of a highly life-changing injury acquired in traumatic combat. This film explores the process of re-learning to live in light of incredible physical loss and emotional devastation. Talks very bluntly about Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and depression, but in a way that really sheds light on the fact that these men are some of the world's most courageous and loyal human beings. These men put themselves on the line for their country and have and still live with the horrors of humanity they have witnessed. Well worth your time to watch. 11 years 1 month ago
