Feature of this Menzel's film undoubtedly lies in the fact that in a simple narrative the main character does not feel any regret or remorse. The storyteller tells the story to the viewer with a smile on his face and only in his big blue eyes you can feel a touch of bitterness that happy times are gone. But only for a moment, and than that feeling is replaced by curiosity that comes with the thought of the future.
