   I've seen fewer than a dozen Indian films, but this one is probably one of the top 3 (Lagaan and Kahaani being the others). It was hardly boring and omitted the lengthy standard musical numbers. I was imbued with sympathy for the national hero left to bleed in a familial feud while the authorities stood on the sidelines. It's still too long, but if more Indian movies behaved like this one, the talk of Indian IMDB mafia will die down. Paan Singh Tomar arguably deserves a place in the Top 50 Sport movies, although I think that's more a testament to the dearth of great sports movies. 10 years 1 month ago
