Just an addendum to MovingPictures comment: Notice the scene where Monty is beaten in the alley and has his ticket stolen, then suddenly Mellors and Blackie show up in the alley and find him SO- How did they know where he was and how did they get there so fast?!!!! You're right-I'm betting right there a scene was cut out in both versions we watched 8 years 6 months ago -

The DVD (R2) version I watched from OPTIMUM (2008) is 102 minutes, which seems to be a cut version, as there should be a 117 minutes version according to IMDb.
