This show was really great in the early years, when it was mostly adapting the short stories, but once it gets into the longer novels it begins to falter. Once the extended cast disappears, and only Poirot is left, it becomes a pale shadow of its former self. I just watched an episode from season 10 and it was like the cartoon version of Poirot. Everything seemed wrong. If an episode doesn’t include at least one of Japp, Hastings or Miss Lemon, my interest wanes.
