Stylishly shot three-part story of racial war in Macedonia spilling over into the lives of a London photo editor, a young Orthodox monk and a long absent war photographer. The performances are good, especially from charismatic Rade Serbedzija, but the script is quite weak, the turns of the plot stretch credulity a few times too often and the violence seems unnecessarily harsh at times. Interesting, but rated much too highly on IMDB.
The kind of movie I would have never dreamed of watching before discovering ICM. I actually really enjoyed it though. Great performances. Good story and a beautiful score. 8/10.
