Poignant, gorgeous to look at, entertaining, and funny, plus a great original score from Explosions In The Sky. What's not to like? Sure some parts are a bit impenetrable (I'm still trying to work out what that lady represented), and the characterisation strays into cliches in the beginning before the film finds its feet, but things improve steadily as the movie goes on and builds to a satisfying and touching conclusion. Rudd and Hirsch are an inspired pairing and both deliver top-notch performances, helped in no small part by a subtle and nuanced script from David Gordon Green that is so good you can just about forgive his recent directorial efforts. Prince Avalanche is a welcome return to form for Green and such a nice change of pace from Hollywood blockbusters. A genuinely beautiful film. 10 years 6 months ago -
Joker of Gotham
16 days of shooting, love this independent movies.
Is where Emile Hirsch feels more comfortable and where he is very good, also Paul Rudd in a more dramatic role but never forgetting to make the audience laugh.
To of my favourite actors, there is no reason for me to don't liking the movie.
