Within the first 5 minutes, jokes about sleeping around with multiple partners and a man's testicles. It's great to see Dreamworks keeping things classy, as usual.For the film itself, Puss in Boots is a very tired effort. Zorro memes left and right, cat jokes, pop-culture movie references and a total inability to focus on the story without an unneeded comic relief bit to break you out of your suspension of disbelief. Run-of-the-mill Dreamworks. The direction was also rather lazy; but hey, it's for kids, so who cares?
If you love every movie Dreamworks puts out, you'll probably like this, too. If you want something more from a movie than animals jumping around and acting like buffoons, you'll probably be bored silly.

I loved this movie! It was SO MUCH better than Shrek, and I like how they kept the same elements as those movies. I liked their take on "Humpty Dumpty" as well. He's always falling, just like in the song. I've always liked how the makers of Shrek play nursery rhymes into their movies. It makes it very easy to connect with the movie, no matter what age you are.letschat6
