A masterpiece. Albert Brooks gives one of the greatest comedy performances I've ever seen as an endlessly narcissistic filmmaker overseeing a doomed project in which he "observes" a family's day-to-day life over the course of a year. The writing is brilliant throughout and the various character quirks revealed during the hilarious studio conferences that crop up from time to time are unbelievable. And here I was thinking Hank Scorpio was Brooks' brightest achievement. 10/10

Absolutely brilliant film. And really, such a charming relationship between Albert and Pete the Cameraman.evildeadthing
