I expected more from Maher. Religion is a topic ripe for ridicule, but Maher comes across as incredibly smug and arrogant. Perhaps try interviewing people with a above average intellect who can at least put up a viable argument in defence of their religion.

When dealing with the incoherences and contraditions of all the religious doctrines, mockery is inevitable. Bill Maher's approach may sound arrogant, but let's use our common sense; who wouldn't want to make fun of a bunch of incongruous religious leaders? And more importantly, this documentary's whole point was questioning religions and its institutions, not proving whether there is a god or not. 12 years 4 months ago -
