I understand this is a movie for children, but come on, even adults and teens love this movie to death? I just feel like I don't want to live on this planet anymore...

Which sounds an awful lot like...

Definitely worth watching for the fantastic animation alone. Besides the looks, the movie is a nice ride, entertaining for the entire family. Possibly somewhat scary for the younger kids but the solution to that is both good and bad; the insanely powerful adversary is insanely quickly and easily defeated. This is the one major gripe I have and it's not too bad really.
Yeah, they defeat the bad guy - surprise? Not worth a spoiler alert even.

Highly recommended.

Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. :)

I can recommend my personal favorite; NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind (Kaze no Tani no Naushika) - but all their movies are fantastic.

I wasn't expecting much out of this film, but it turned out to be a gem. The characters were unique and lovable, the animation drop-dead gorgeous. The plot is simple, yes, and the moral message delivered in a very heavy-handed way, but for a sweet, holiday themed children's movie, it's lovely. Watch it.

Very nice story, the characters are awesome, this movie is way better than Brave, the cast is great: Jackman. Baldwin, Jude Law and Chris Pine, all great actors. One of the best animated movies that I saw in a long time.
4/5

Tremendous animation, some of the effects are breathtaking. The voice acting is excellent across the board, full of recognisable talent. There is a lovely message behind the story too, you can take something away from it no matter who you are.

It's the kind of cracking film you can watch any time of the year and feel excited about the holidays and symbolism behind them.

This and Train Your Dragon are both top draw.

I absolutely agree with "Cuadie" I downloaded it from YIFY after surprisingly missing it at cinemas, and the movie was breathtaking and amazing! I love it 5/5- Strange, first animation of the year that blew me away

I watched this alone... I know... sad. I was hooked. The storyline is good, the animation fantastic... the characters were relatable and the big bad boogeyman getting his just desserts was a delight... I'm such a kid. :D But seriously, any parent who can't quote this movie to their kids just isn't trying hard enough. ;)

What if folktale icons like Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy were the Justice League? That's what Dreamworks' Rise of the Guardians is. Fantastical and kid-friendly though the premise may be, it's a superhero narrative, with the undisciplined rookie (Jack Frost) having to find what makes him special in among more established heroes as they fight a hope-destroying scheme by the Boogeyman himself, Pitch Black. Directed by Peter Ramsey, now of Spider-Verse fame, based on William Joyce's Guardians of Childhood books, Rise also has a great cast, and proves quite inventive in tying all these figures together, maybe just a few steps away from Nightmare Before Christmas. Extra points for bits of weirdness like Russian Mob Santa and Easter Eggs with legs. It's often funny and clever, has a good message about not letting fear run your life and putting something positive out in the world, and the action scenes are worthy of good superhero spectaculars. If no one seems to talk about this one, I think, is because of the insipid title.
