20 minutes in - one of the worst and most genuinely misguided films I've ever seen. Everyone involved with this should be fired by Equity and barred from acting until some substantive act of penance is undertaken; caring for Covid victims without masks or gloves, possibly.
This version of Robin Hood takes a different approach. It’s unconventional when you compare it to previous versions. Beautifully choreographed fight scenes with a decent plot line that can be followed
The part where Robin was fighting in Arabia seemed like a slightly modified version of 21st century wars in the Middle East. I mean if you replaced their bow and arrows with light machine guns you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. Following on from that point, the film seems like a modern adaptation of Robin Hood set in present time (even though it isn’t supposed to be). From the getgo; the narrator dismissed the historical aspect of the Robin Hood legend so it’s motive is different.
Regardless, it’s a good action flix. I would like to know why it got a subpar rating
Great action, good plot and a beautifully shot actionfilm.
Its different from all the previous Robin Hood films i’ve seen. Somewhat of a prequel to the legend of Robin Hood.
Spoilers:
Shame it did poorly at the boxoffice, really want to see a sequel to this with The new sheriff as the main villain with Robin and the gang fighting in the forrest instead of the mines and the city. Oh well..
Final though, it does not deserve its low IMDB rating. It is a fun, thrilling actionflick who diverts from all The other Robin Hood films.
